During her collegiate career at East Carolina University, Pettersson was a two-time All-American Athletic Conference (AAC) First Team selection. She also captured medalist honors at the 2016 Pinehurst Challenge for the Pirates. As a rookie on the Epson Tour in 2019 made 10 cuts across 21 starts with a season-best result of third at the IOA Golf Classic.
