After the first tournament of the 2021 Epson Tour season, the Race for the Card rankings take form thanks to the players’ performances at the inaugural Carlisle Arizona Women’s Golf Classic at Longbow Golf Club.

Ruixin Liu (Guangdong, People’s Republic of China) takes the No. 1 spot in the money list following her fifth-career Epson Tour win and first of the 2021 season, earning a winner’s check of $30,000. Following at No. 2, Fatima Fernandez Cano (Santiago, Spain) collected a check of $19,501 from her third-place finish at the season opener in Mesa, AZ last week.

“I think start at the top definitely take some pressure of if me, give me extra cushion and space to enjoy the process even more,” said Liu. “If I could get my full LGPA card back that will be the second time I play on the Tour. I really just want to see improvement in myself and I feel like I have seen that over the last few years.”

Haylee Harford (Leavittsburg,Ohio) joins at No. 3 with $14,204 following a solo-fourth finish last week and a final-round 8-under par. Esther Henseleit (Hamburg, Germany) comes in at No. 4 with $11,036. Lauren Coughlin (Charlottesville, Virginia), Sophia Schubert (Oak Ridge, Tennessee) and Sophie Hausmann (Nottuln, Germany) are just behind tied in fifth with $7,480.

“I had a really solid week at Longbow Golf Club,” said Hausmann. “It’s great to see a top 10 in the first event of the season. It shows me where my game is at and what I need to do to get all the way up there. It’s going be a long season though, so I will go week by week and try not to get caught up in the money list.”

To complete the top 10, three players are tied at No. 8 after taking home checks of $4,752 in Mesa: Allie White (Lancaster, Ohio), Ingrid Gutierrez Nunez (Cuautla, Mexico) and Karoline Stormo (Tvedestrand, Norway).

At the end of the season, the top-10 players in the Race for the Card standings will graduate onto the LPGA Tour for the 2022 campaign.
