The top four players in the Race for the Card are still the only players who have mathematically clinched their LPGA Tour cards for the 2025 season, with the rest of the top 15 experiencing a major shakeup. The 2024 season, marked by its unpredictability, has seen only one new player entering the top 15, and just one player who did not move from their position in the top 15. Every other athlete has either moved up or down in the rankings, showcasing the depth and talent of the fields on the Official Qualifying Tour with 17 different champions in 17 events.

Rookie Ingrid Lindblad made the most significant leap heading into the Murphy USA El Dorado Shootout, moving up 22 spots to No. 7 in the Race for the Card after winning the Tuscaloosa Toyota Classic by two shots over Ana Belac. The win puts Lindblad on the cusp of earning her LPGA Tour card, and with only two events remaining, another strong finish may be all the Swede needs to lock in her spot on the biggest stage in women’s golf.

After her runner-up finish, Belac also took a big step in the Race for the Card, moving six spots to No. 8 and well within range to get back to the LPGA Tour. Belac, like Lindblad, is right on the edge of reaching the LPGA Tour for the 2025 season, looking to secure her spot after another good week in El Dorado. Mariel Galdiano made a small but significant jump after a tie for sixth result in Tuscaloosa, moving to No. 16 in the Race for the Card standings. While she sits on the outside looking in, she is only 52 points behind Amanda Doherty, who is in the No. 15 spot. Galdiano has made the cut in her last five events, slowly chipping away at the rankings. With two events remaining, she could easily find herself inside the top 15 by the end of the Epson Tour Championship.

The Race for the Card is a season-long points competition in which Epson Tour members accumulate points in every official Epson Tour tournament. The ultimate goal is to finish in the top 15 in the point standings to earn LPGA Tour membership for the 2025 season. The point-based system, new on the Epson Tour this season, replaces the money-based system and will award points to those who make the cut weekly.

The 2024 season will also be the first year that Epson Tour athletes will vie for 15 LPGA Tour cards. These coveted cards will be awarded after the season-ending Epson Tour Championship in Indian Wells, Calif., this fall, providing a significant opportunity for the athletes to step onto the biggest stage in women's golf.
