With only two events remaining in the 2024 Epson Tour season, points are at a premium and could be the difference between an athlete earning an LPGA Tour card or securing a spot in Final Qualifying in LPGA Q-Series. Every player in the remaining 108 player fields all have something to play for, regardless of where they currently stand. No one knows what life on the bubble has been like over the past two seasons more than Becca Huffer.

Huffer finished the 2023 Epson Tour season No. 11 in the Race for the Card, one spot shy of earning her LPGA Tour card for the 2024 season. In 2023, the 34-year-old charged up in the standings over the last four events, making every cut and finishing inside the top 15 in three of the tournaments. A T3 at the 2023 Tuscaloosa Toyota Classic helped jump Huffer into contention heading into the Epson Tour Championship while securing a T23 at the 2023 Murphy USA El Dorado Shootout.

This year, the tournaments coming down the stretch are almost identical but just in a different order, with the Murphy USA El Dorado Shootout being the last opportunity for athletes to secure points before the Epson Tour Championship and the Four Winds Invitational joining the closing stretch for 2024. Huffer is starting to find the form she had at the end of last year, making two of three cuts in her last three events, with both made cuts resulting in a top 20 finish.

"There are always little benchmarks that are stressful. This year I really didn't have a good summer. So, it's playing a little bit of catch-up," said Huffer. "I kind of got things figured out with my game coming into the last bit here. So just trying to finish strong, see what happens and it's always out of your control in a way."

The veteran is again on the bubble, just a different bubble this time. Huffer currently stands at No. 40 in the Race for the Card, needing to make it into the top 35 to guarantee a spot in Final Qualifying and avoid Qualifying, which takes place just a week after the Epson Tour Championship. Huffer played in Final Qualifying last year, finding herself on the bubble once again, but this time on the right side of the bubble. The Notre Dame grad finished on the number to earn dual membership on the LPGA Tour and Epson Tour for the 2024 season.

Huffer made six starts on the LPGA Tour with her dual status, one cut at the 2024 DANA Open, and 13 starts on the Epson Tour. She has her eyes on getting inside the top 35 and securing her spot in Final Qualifying, but her goals for the season do not end there.

"Hopefully, I can get a couple more top tens and finish in the top 35 to start," explained Huffer. "That is kind of the goal right now, and if I can do better than that, great. Hopefully, I pick it up at the right time and make a push."
