Bae Defends Back-to-Back Titles

The Northeast stretch was good to Jenny Bae in 2023, earning her first two professional wins back-to-back at the Hartford HealthCare Women's Championship and Twin Bridges Championship. The Epson Tour sophomore made the cut at the Hartford HealthCare Women's Championship last week, finishing T43. This week brings a new challenge, though, defending her Twin Bridges Championship title. The Georgia native won the 2023 playing in a five-hole playoff against Rookie of the Year, Natasha Andrea Oon.

12 of the Top 15 in the Points Rankings Will Compete

Week 12 saw lots of movement in the Race for the Card standings, with three new athletes making their way in. Following her win in Connecticut, Daniela Iacobelli jumped from 26th to 2nd, proving how one week can make or break someone's chance at an LPGA Tour card. Amelia Lewis and Amanda Doherty also cracked the top 15 after top three performances last week, now sitting in 12th and 15th, respectively.

12 of the top 15 will compete in Albany this week, looking to take the top spot from New Zealand's Fiona Xu. The competition is fierce, and the stakes are high. A win or top finish could put any ranked athlete one step closer to earning their LPGA Tour card for 2025.

The chance of becoming the first athlete to get their second win in 2024 is on the line for nine players this week. So far, each tournament has seen a different champion, with seven countries represented among the 12 winners.
