The Epson Tour returns to the Northeast for a two-week stint, starting in Milford, Conn., with the Hartford HealthCare Women’s Championship. The second annual playing at Sacred Heart’s Great River Golf Club will take place July 12-14, awarding the winner $39,375. Bae Defends Back-to-Back Titles

The Northeast stretch was a turning point for Jenny Bae in 2023, as she clinched her first two professional wins back-to-back at the Hartford HealthCare Women’s Championship and Twin Bridges Championship. As an Epson Tour sophomore, she is set to defend both titles in 2024, starting in Connecticut this week. Bae's impressive record of making nine cuts in 10 starts so far in 2024, with a season-best finish of fourth place at Florida’s Natural Charity Classic, sets the stage for an exciting defense.

All of the top 15 in the Race for the Card Standings Will Compete

As the season reaches its halfway point, the competition is heating up. The Hartford HealthCare Women’s Championship, one of eight remaining events, promises to be fiercely competitive. All 15 athletes at the top of the Race for the Card standings will be at Sacred Heart’s Great River Golf Club, each vying for crucial points to secure their position in the top 15.

Hartford HealthCare Awards Two Meaningful Sponsor Exemptions

Anna Berman (née Appert Lund) and Margot Rouquette received sponsor exemptions for the 2024 playing, giving both athletes a chance to test their game amongst some of the best professionals in the world. Berman is no stranger to the Epson Tour, making her rookie debut in 2017, but this is Rouquette’s first Epson Tour appearance. Rouquette, the 23-year-old Frenchwoman, is familiar with the golf course, playing it throughout her time at Sacred Heart University and now serving as the Assistant Golf Pro.

Who Will be the First to Two Wins in 2024?

The chance of becoming the first athlete to get their second win in 2024 is on the line for nine players this week. So far, each tournament has seen a different champion, with seven countries represented among those winners. Valery Plata, Jessica Peng, Briana Chacon, Juliana Hung, Madison Young, Fiona Xu, Cassie Porter, Soo Bin Joo and Kathleen Scavo will tee it up at Sacred Heart’s Great River Golf Club looking for a second win and another 500 points in the Race for the Card.

Anyone’s Season Could Change with a Win

Another 500 points are up for grabs for this week’s winner, a potential game-changer for any athlete. With Jessica Peng currently holding the 15th spot with 608.700 points, a win could catapult anyone from 16-89th into the top 15. While the points rankings are complex, the opportunity for a life-changing week is open to all.
