Madison Young’s golf game is hot. Just one week after winning her first professional tournament at the Casino Del Sol Golf Classic, the 27-year-old notched another top performance, giving the Carlisle Arizona Women’s Golf Classic leaders a run for their money.

Young fired a final-round, 5-under 66, including an ace on No. 15 of TPC Scottsdale’s Champions Course, bringing her tournament total to 9-under and ultimately finishing in a share of fifth. The Kennesaw State University alum had 124 yards to the pin and watched the ball roll straight at it with her husband who doubles as her caddie by her side.

“It felt amazing, it's my first one as a professional,” said Young. “I jumped into his arms, and he said that was the highest he's ever seen me jump. So that was funny. But he's also never seen one from me in competition. We've been talking about it a lot lately, so it was cool that it happened.”

Young has experienced both the highs and lows of professional golf throughout her career, sometimes questioning if it’s the right path to continue down. But lately, her game has shown her that she’s in the right profession. They key for Young, though, is to stay in the moment and appreciate the high points.

“I'm just trying to stay super patient and super in the moment,” said Young. “Sometimes golf has good stretches, you have bad stretches, and I've had a lot of bad. So, I'm happy to be having some good.”
