Yahui Zhang collected her first Epson Tour title this past weekend at the Four Winds Invitational in South Bend, Ind., moving her from eighth to first in the Race for the Card standings. With 1360.316 points, the People’s Republic of China native has put herself in the driver’s seat to earn her LPGA Tour card for 2025, with only four events remaining in the 2024 season.

After a runner-up performance at the Four Winds Invitational, Fatima Fernandez Cano now finds herself inside the top 15 for the first time all season with 802.342 points. She has rounded into form over the last four events, securing three top-five results in those four starts. Fernandez Cano is also the only player who moved from outside the top 15 to inside the top 15 at the conclusion of the Four Winds Invitational.

Lauren Stephenson also tied for second at the Four Winds Invitational, moving her to the second spot in the Race for the Card, just 24 points behind Zhang. Stephenson has spent the majority of her career on the LPGA Tour, only playing five events on the Epson Tour before the start of the 2024 season. In the 11 events she has played this year, Stephenson has finished in the top 10 six times, including a win at the 2024 Twin Bridges Championship.

Mariel Galdiano moved from 25 to 20 after her T11 finish
Savannah Vilaubi moved from 27 to 21 with a T6 result
Sarah Edwards moved from 102 to 71 after a T8 finish

The Race for the Card is a season-long points competition in which Epson Tour members accumulate points in every official Epson Tour tournament. The ultimate goal is to finish in the top 15 in the point standings to earn LPGA Tour membership for the 2025 season. The point-based system, new on the Epson Tour this season, replaces the money-based system and will award points to those who make the cut weekly.

The 2024 season will also be the first year that Epson Tour athletes will vie for 15 LPGA Tour cards. They will be awarded after the season-ending Epson Tour Championship in Indian Wells, Calif., this fall.
