When round one of the Founders Cup presented by U.S. Virgin Islands began, six 2024 Epson Tour graduates played their first round as an official LPGA Tour member, but there were 10 total graduates who participated in the first round, with 2024 Gaelle Truet Rookie of the Year, Yahui Zhang, the only graduate in the top 10 not in attendance.

Now, after 36 holes of play, two 2024 grads were able to make the cut, both of which are 2025 LPGA Tour rookies. Madison Young and Fiona Xu, who also picked up their first professional wins on the Official Qualifying Tour of the LPGA in 2024, will get a taste of working on the weekend in their first attempt as an official LPGA Tour member.

Young currently sits at 3-under and in a tie for 29th after a rollercoaster second round. The 28-year-old had six birdies, two bogeys and one triple bogey on her scorecard and battled to make the cut, ultimately posting a 1-under 70. Xu, on the other hand, is sitting at 2-under and in a tie for 34th in her season debut, doing so in a more conventional fashion with three birdies and two bogeys but ending up with the same 1-under result as Young.

Fatima Fernandez Cano, Ana Belac and Ingrid Lindblad all missed teeing it up on Saturday by one shot, with Fernandez Cano carding a 5-under 66 in the second round that included seven birdies but one that couldn’t overcome her opening 6-over 77. Other familiar faces who have competed on the Epson Tour and will be playing in round three include players like Mary Liu (T18), Hira Naveed (T18), Soo Bin Joo (T29), Dewi Weber (T33), Benedetta Moresco (T33), Alena Sharp (T42), Kate Smith-Stroh (T50) and Gigi Stoll (T50).
