After three weeks in the Sunshine State, the new crop of rookies for the 2025 Epson Tour season had their opportunity to make their impact early in the year. Getting a good start during your first year on Tour can be a sense of relief, but it also can turn nerves into confidence – the confidence you need to try and finish inside the top 15 and earn an LPGA Tour card for the first time. Three 2024 Epson Tour rookies earned their Card for the 2025 season, including Yahui Zhang, Ingrid Lindblad and Fiona Xu. Here are the top five rookies so far this season:

Yana Wilson – (Race for the Card: 9th)
Erika Hara – (Race for the Card: 18th)
Carla Tajedo Mulet – (Race for the Card: 20th)
Jiyue Wu – (Race for the Card: 30th)
Camille Boyd – (Race for the Card: 31st)

Leading the way is Yana Wilson, who is one of the youngest rookies on Tour at just 18 years old. Wilson enjoyed a prolific amateur career which played a large role in her decision to turn professional. The Nevada native already has two top-10 finishes under her belt in three tournaments, while making the cut as well in the lone event she did not finish in the top-10. Erika Hara is not far behind Wilson in the Race for the Card, sitting nine spots behind the 18-year-old in 18th. Hara is a little older than most rookies on the Epson Tour but has been a professional since 2018. The Japan native competed in her home country on the LPGA of Japan Tour (JLPGA), winning five times before heading to the Epson Tour. Hara’s most recent victory came at the 2023 Japan Women’s Open Golf Championship, with her best finish on the Epson Tour coming at the Atlantic Beach Golf Classic presented by Access Golf, finishing T6 for the week.

Rounding out the top three rookies after the florida swing is Louisiana State University alum, Carla Tejedo Mulet. Tejedo Mulet got off to a rocky start in her rookie season, posting four straight over-par rounds to start her Epson Tour career before bursting into the top 10 at the Atlantic Beach Classic presented by Access Golf with a 6-under 65 in the final round. The good play continued into the next week at the IOA Golf Classic presented by Aperture, as the Spaniard finished inside the top 25. As Tejedo Mulet gets more comfortable on Tour, expect more top finishes.

Jiyue Wu and Camille Boyd are currently 30th and 31st in the Race for the Card, separated by just three points.

Wu is just 17 years old but has shown great poise through her first three weeks. She has made the cut in two of three events and added a top-10 finish in her first start on Tour at the Central Florida Championship.

Boyd has yet to find her way into the top 10 by week’s end, but she has also not missed a cut so far in her rookie campaign. The 22-year-old has displayed consistent golf over her first three weeks on Tour until an outlier final round resulted in a round of 81 at the IOA Golf Classic presented by Aperture, dropping her severely down the leaderboard. If not for the unfortunate final day, Boyd could be near the Race for the Card’s top 15 but instead finds herself on the outside looking in.

The 2025 Epson Tour rookie class is one of the strongest in recent memory with the like of Rachel Kuehn, Annabelle Pancake, and Gile Bite Starkute all still looking to make their mark on Tour. They will have their chance to get into the mix for an LPGA Tour card when the Epson Tour returns to play at the IOA Championship presented by Morongo Casino Resort and Spa from April 25-27 n Beaumont, California.
