The field at the Atlantic Beach Classic presented by Access Golf is ready to tee it up for the second time in the tournament’s history. Atlantic Beach Country Club is the host of the Atlantic Beach Classic, with the tournament set to begin on Thursday, March 6, and conclude on Saturday, March 8. The tournament will be the second chance the field of 120 has to move their way up the Race for the Card standings. Here are three things to know before play begins:

Chacon Set to Defend Title

For the second straight week, the 2024 champion is in the field to defend their title. Briana Chacon took home the trophy at the inaugural Atlantic Beach Classic presented by Access Golf with a 7-under total. Chacon was a rookie at the time of her victory, claiming her first professional win in just her third career start.

The win put Chacon on a strong path to earn her LPGA Tour card in her first attempt but fell 10 spots short, finishing No. 25 in the Race for the Card at seasons end. Another win would make the 23-year-old the first defending champion to win in nearly 30 years on the Epson Tour.

Tournament Changes

The Atlantic Beach Classic presented by Access Golf made changes to the tournament format, moving from a field of 132 to 120 for the 2025 edition. The change will help with finishing times and add flexibility if delays occur.

While the tournament continues to operate as a 54-hole event, when the tournament starts and ends has been changed for the 2025 season. The 2024 tournament followed the traditional Epson Tour scheduling, with the first round taking place on Friday and the final round on Sunday. For the 2025 Atlantic Beach Classic presented by Access Golf, the first round will begin on Thursday, March 6th, with the conclusion of the event on Saturday, March 8th.
